Well, the race dogs have bumped up in mileage and they STILL came in barking. Man, that's nice to see!!! I planned on taking the B team out today, but I had jury duty and was selected for a jury. So, I had to run back to my classroom in order to prep for a sub. Of course, it's never that smooth...turns out that I'm going to miss some meetings, so I had to fill out forms to cover my absence, straighten my desk, get supplies ready to do projects, etc. Needless to say, no running today. That's ok though. I do have to say it was NICE to come home to fed dogs! Jimmy was in the yard when we pulled up, finishing up on the watering. Now, THAT is cool!! He's also going to help run dogs. Yea, buddy!
Other news, Chevy ran in lead for the first time. He came in looking nice, wagging his tail. I think he was just waiting for us to run him in lead. He's been shy since we got him from Gerry....now he's doing better. Feather was acting up in lead, not taking commands, tangling the team...so Manny switched her out. I think she does it to him because she knows he'll get tired of it and take her out of lead. He said as much after a run...so little Miss "Ice Princess" will be in for it on the next run. Hee hee hee! I think I'll be taking 12 dog teams from now on, as the snow has made the turns slicker than normal. These dogs are really looking nice!! :o)
